Hi! I'm very new to tabletop gaming and have only played in a 3 weekend pathfinder campaign and a star wars campaign (not sure what version). I played a few with friends while at OU and now am living for Dayton looking for weekend campaigns for fun and to make new friends.

So I have a couple of questions. Am I likely to find campaigns that are "noob friendly". And am I in the right place to find what I'm looking for. I look forward to hopefully gaming with you.

Not very many people check these message boards. In fact this is the first time I've looked in months. That's the bad news. The good news is that the message boards over at paizo.com are very active and dayton has a very active pathfinder society community that I've found very welcoming to beginners. I recommend emailing the Dayton Venture Lieutenant and or the Ohio Venture Captain and asking for help getting started.

You could also go one area gaming stores to one of the scheduled events and for help.

There are lots of FLG's (Friendly/Favored local Gamestores)
Bookery, Epic Loot (My favorite) and others

most have dedicated game nights and often do "New Player" nights or offer new players special opportunities

Welcome to the community
good luck and if you are ever in CIncinnati
check out our FLG's
